moral of the story: girls mug early and sleep early. guys don't. (unless i don't know enough people? hm.) econs is surprisingly simple.

was mugging in sch today. realised that i like playing music in the background but don't like to be plugged in to it. so yeah im having to charge my phone everyday now cos im playing music from its speakers =) met my sisters at beauty world to get my father a shirt... heh we were debating over peach, dull blue, green and grey. i think peach is disgusting dun wanna ever see my father in peach >< but they grey was nice. hahaha why am i blogging this. sisters are nice to have. but i always wanted to have an older brother. oh well you don't always get what u want in life. u know what i said about my extended family and all? i take it back. i should be more careful with all these family things. thinking hard, there's only really 2 ppl i regard as sisters among my friends. don't bother guessing, you'll never get it. or you'll never get one of them anyway. =)
today i witnessed the triumph of hope over experience. as garfield once put it. i asked my dad to come fetch me, and he made it within 20 minutes. a new record =) my older sister is reaching the age where the meanness starts to fade and the things we have in common start to assert themselves. heh. we've been talking quite a lot lately about matters of life and of games and such. i never realised that she was actually good company haha. granted she still loses her temper easily, but that's always been a problem in my family, and anyway im getting used to it and she's starting to curb herself. so ok la, i can live with that. my father and sister keep complaining that they can't use the outside com well and it's unresponsive. i on the other hand use it perfectly well. i think it requires a soft touch heh. or maybe 心静自然, i dunno. just some random rambling thoughts. how about i just delete this post? then everyone will be happy.
next time i'll be more careful what i post. yar sorry if i offended anyone. ahhh i have one entire week of stuff to blog but im so lazyy........... suffice to say im a new argentina convert. tevez rodriguez messi cambiasso crespo ^^ heh the rest i'll blog another day. when i get the inspiration to that is.
lots of pics to upload too. rrgghh. the past 4 days have been a whirlwind of activities and fun. monday to wednesday was band chalet, wednesday class outing, and today band investiture and batch outing. sleep count this week: about 6 1/2 hours total. 1/2 hr on monday, 4 hrs on tues, 2 hrs yesterday. i'm still in a detached, stoned, blissful kind of mood now, so i'll go into details later.
had a long heart-to-hearttalk with my sister early this morning, at around 2 am to about 4.... and talked a lot of nonsense over lunch and movie during batch outing. my batch: XD our seniors: XD band in general: XD XD woke up this morning, inexplicably, with a backache. =/ so now i can't straighten fully. lol.
yesterday was a tempo. ok since it's 2 am now technically two days ago it was a tempo =/ quite an experience, though i found that this concert i was more...... distracted than usual. got to sch at 1 and moved instrus around. wanted to sit lorry but the driver didn't allow us to sit at the back and the front cab had only enough space for 2. so i took the bus. but nvm la it turned out to be fun cos yinrui brought cards =) heh. on arrival we moved instrus again..... rain made our timps and mallets wet. had to clean with tissue paper heh. so unglam. practice was nothing much, just normal prac.... it was more the in-between-songs backstage nonsense that was more memorable =) talked a lot of nonsense during the breaks, koped li ching's cookies and yinrui's book (XD) and stuff like that. damn nonsense. yup and since we met at 1..... time passed super fast and it was 1/2 hour to concert before we knew it. our section took a loooong time to decide what to do with the cloth. all kinds of damn lame ideas came up like rabbit ears, towel, headscarf, etc. eventually (i dunno why also) we settled on some stewardess thing for the girls (tucked into the shirt like a bib) and headbands again for the guys. pre-concert destressing. damn fun =) after that was the concert itself. won't say it was great, but it wasn't bad. according to selected members of the audience, the perc ensemble rocked =) heh kudos to boon and the seniors! and thanks to all who came down to support: adam, zihan, zhenzhen, sabby, emm, mable, jonathan (and his gd friend *ahem* cheryl), all my juniors, and of course my family. thank you! it meant a lot, really. yup that's about it liao. after the concert ended i moved instrus (again) until the very end, then i realised that i hadn't taken my stuff out yet. went back and found the gate closed, so i paniced for awhile. but as it turned out my section batchmates brought the stuff out for me alr. so we stood there talking for awhile and when we turned to go, the bus was nowhere to be seen. >< lol. so we ended up leaving from there. the 4 of us, me zhu yinrui and nar went to get a drink at mac's before going home. (coincidentally we were discussing the seniors at mac's when all of a sudden they appeared. quite freaky.)  took this pic at the bus stop while waiting for my dad...... as it turned out, i just missed the last 190 home. got out of the MRT station just in time to see it go by =/ nice right? hahaha. got some other stuff too, a jar of stars from sabby, chocs from zhenzhen and notes from my sectionmates..... all in all, a night to remember. [this was written over 3 days. i think my writing style may have changed halfway =/] u know what, i had this brilliant thing i wanted to blog, but i forgot what it was >.<
oh yes.... now i remember. u never know how people may turn out, in retrospect. a couple of years ago, i used to blame my grandfather for letting me eat a lot back in primary school, always asking me to 加饭加料 (add rice and ingredients). as u know, i was really fat back in pri sch and for a while in sec sch too, and it hurt my self-esteem for a very long time. it didn't help that my pri sch "friends" (i say that cos well, i realised that i didn't really treat them as friends) used to tease me about it all the time. yeah i blamed him. now i realised that i didn't turn out very badly at all. compared to some other ppl. i'm not shallow, i like to think im not superficial, and im not very social, but i can sustain a convo and i have my own friends. im happy-go-lucky, which is neither very good nor very bad, im nice in general =), and yeah la u get the idea. i like my own personality. and i didn't become some weirdo or some attitude problem kid. i owe that to my grandfather. in other news, my sister may be becoming a bimbo. just today she was telling us about how she's going out to go shopping with 2 of her girlfriends, and how they agreed to wear the shortest skirt possible -.- they're sec1. wth? sectionbatch online convos are impossible >< i blame yinrui. as mervin kindly pointed out in his blog, oura made several changes to our encore piece. and boon and lingzi made some other changes in our perc ensemble. now all i hope is that the audience doesn't die laughing on concert night =/
my timing's been quite off lately. nvm shall try again later. went sectionbatch lunch today.... at about 4 pm. oO what to do aiyah perc section so on... everybody endured biting hunger and yinrui even got gastric, but still gritted her teeth and stayed on. lol gj yinrui. traded jokes and stories over lunch... i like my section. we got chemistry heh. but quite sad seniors leaving alr...... dunno what we'll do without them lor seriously. but we'll figure something out. always do. i just found a quote, the source of which i know i have the knowledge of somewhere in the back of my mind, but cannot for the life of me remember. (lol okay that convoluted sentence was for fun.) it goes: as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death... we shall not fear. or something like that. anyone who knows it pls drop a tag =) not long ago (last sat i think), when we went to eat at nonya wok, i saw this poster. u know, those posters with slogans on them. it said, "there is no such thing as bad weather. there is only good weather in different forms". i think i agree with that line entirely.
today was a frigid day. cold, cold, cold day. went to sch early to play soccer. we played from 10 to around 11.30 then it started drizzling so we retired to the varese room (that's the RJ band storeroom that has aircon) to play cards. heh. we 约好 our old seniors to come back and play soccer so they were chatting somewhere while we were playing cards. after the rain stopped at around 1 we went to play again at the flooded astro ^^ haven't had so much fun in ages... our batches 有默契. on the way back i walked in a light drizzle for awhile. it was cold enough that i was breathing hard alr. glorious feeling XD then i got onto the bus which was coincidentally at dunno 10 degrees celcius aircon or something. almost froze lol. then i got home, took a hot shower (^^), and came online to blog. dammit play utopia always forget to cast war spoils. waste my time only >< i'm not unique lor. (don't bother. only 2 ppl would understand that.) but aiyah. underneath all that teasing and all, my section's still the funnest and the best la. my seniors are super caoji joker. someone brought a recipe book (li ching i think), then during break they were promptly taking pictures of it from different angles. why? to make it look real =/ that's not joker in itself. what's joker is that they passed the phone around to everybody and asked, "does this look real?" =/ then sometime after that, when i sneezed right, they all stopped what they were doing, turned and stared at me. oO im sure. it's just a sneeze la. lol why am i blogging about all this lame stuff? guess what? yesterday 3 of us went to ICS night. at 7.25 the doors were already closed and were wondering why in the world did they close so early? concert at 7.30 right? yup as it turns out, the performance started at 6.30 oO so we missed the entire first half. totally gone case sia... so sorry nandita, pj, vaish, reshma and renuka >< but i think we'll look back on this and laugh. at around 8 (intermission time) we decided to go and see if someone could get us tickets.... as vaish said later we were "3 gongs standing outside asking for tickets" heh. yeah then when someone finally came out it was vaish (ok that ra... ra... something guy brought her out but that's not the point) and the first thing she said was, "oh, it's you." XD wenhao's hair damn cool. here's a pic  wonder who he did it for eh =) he claimed he was practicing but you never know. yup. ICS show rocked even though we didn't understand anything. though it was a bit long... the dances were damn cool! pj so pro ^^ nandita looked really natural and comfortable on the stage during the singing... and vaish was like staying far far away from the guy she was singing with. lol. after the concert the gate was locked so we went on night walk... wenhao's idea. we went the other way around RJ for once and because of all the construction work we detoured and spent like 1 hr just getting to the bus stop -.- along the way pj called and talked to wenhao for a very very long time =) ahh young love. the sky's a nice mixture of black, purple and red now. it's like getting darker and darker, more and more purple, but refusing to go black. interesting =) but more chaotic than i prefer. i like pure orange sunsets. but nowadays im starting to prefer sunny, windy afternoons alr for some reason. especially if they're in some ulu place like bukit panjang =) i can't stop ranting about this place. today was another quite fun day. heh any day there's band prac is a good day =) morning was jazz prac which i left halfway for PW group meeting... managed to gaodim everything alr so gd la. 佩芬 cut her hair =) she doesn't think so but it looks good lor. and the little ponytail at the back damn cute XD starting surveys next week. seems like kenny's mum will be doing a lot of the work so, thanks kenny's mum =) yeah and kenny too of course. im just joking lar. after PW we stayed to talk nonsense for awhile before i went for band. sorry i missed almost the entire jazz prac >< asked nar to buy food for me, but somehow the duty got passed on to jas guo and apparently to ben goh =/ lol at least we can say that the band batch is well-bonded. band was crazy as usual cos of the section..... during sectionals we were playing boon's samba composition and we laughed ourselves crazy la. boon's "aoaw" (^^), inane dancing, and our crazy impromptu crawling part XD heh nothing like a heady dose of percussion section to cure you of depression. well that and talking nonsense la =) heh ty xiaomei. get the impression that boon's trying to set me up again today..... his composition got a solo agogo and bongo part. caoji weird. then 刚巧 im playing bongo, yinrui's playing agogo. pls lor -_- and it didn't help that i stopped to talk to yinrui on the way out and boon and lee hui came out just after me oO dammit lar. yinrui isn't helping. extract from sms convo: yinrui: can u pls try ur best to get a girlfren so we can put an end to this? me: is it disturbing you a lot yinrui: not really. haha, its juz my way of prodding u into getting a girlfren ^^ -_- yinrui: both you and zhu feng muz ganbatte ne! (that's jia you.) maybe next yr brian (my junior) come in with girlfren and own the both of u -_-""" but no la. brian's reserved for SOMEONE heh. wow long post. and i just made it longer with this redundant statement. going to eat dinner now, see you =) today's weather was really gloomy. started raining at around noon and didn't stop til 5+...... unlike yesterday when it was so sunny and windy and nice. ahh why am i blogging about the weather again =/
today was a nothing day. really nothing. i slacked around a lot a lot. went for music lesson in the evening, got a new song (classical. ergh.) yup and oh i cut my hair! heh the hairdresser actually thought that i was a uni student. roughly translated this is how it went: her: "u cut hair is for school or for work?" me: "uh, school." her: "university ah?" me: "errr no, jc." her: "(laughs) can't tell." do i look that old.... -_- somemore i was wearing berms and t-shirt like some little boyboy lor. i seriously doubt that working guys would still wear that. and this is totally random...... but i like my hometown =) bukit panjang lar i mean. very quiet place (except, ironically, where i live. -_-) peaceful and beautiful. what more do you need in a home? except maybe an electone. and a drum set for when it gets TOO peaceful XD i think i'll end off here. hmms noise, music or silence? it's a difficult choice. i think i'll go with silence for now. helps clear the mind. |
