woke up this morning, inexplicably, with a backache. =/ so now i can't straighten fully. lol.
yesterday was a tempo. ok since it's 2 am now technically two days ago it was a tempo =/ quite an experience, though i found that this concert i was more...... distracted than usual. got to sch at 1 and moved instrus around. wanted to sit lorry but the driver didn't allow us to sit at the back and the front cab had only enough space for 2. so i took the bus. but nvm la it turned out to be fun cos yinrui brought cards =) heh. on arrival we moved instrus again..... rain made our timps and mallets wet. had to clean with tissue paper heh. so unglam. practice was nothing much, just normal prac.... it was more the in-between-songs backstage nonsense that was more memorable =) talked a lot of nonsense during the breaks, koped li ching's cookies and yinrui's book (XD) and stuff like that. damn nonsense. yup and since we met at 1..... time passed super fast and it was 1/2 hour to concert before we knew it. our section took a loooong time to decide what to do with the cloth. all kinds of damn lame ideas came up like rabbit ears, towel, headscarf, etc. eventually (i dunno why also) we settled on some stewardess thing for the girls (tucked into the shirt like a bib) and headbands again for the guys. pre-concert destressing. damn fun =) after that was the concert itself. won't say it was great, but it wasn't bad. according to selected members of the audience, the perc ensemble rocked =) heh kudos to boon and the seniors! and thanks to all who came down to support: adam, zihan, zhenzhen, sabby, emm, mable, jonathan (and his gd friend *ahem* cheryl), all my juniors, and of course my family. thank you! it meant a lot, really. yup that's about it liao. after the concert ended i moved instrus (again) until the very end, then i realised that i hadn't taken my stuff out yet. went back and found the gate closed, so i paniced for awhile. but as it turned out my section batchmates brought the stuff out for me alr. so we stood there talking for awhile and when we turned to go, the bus was nowhere to be seen. >< lol. so we ended up leaving from there. the 4 of us, me zhu yinrui and nar went to get a drink at mac's before going home. (coincidentally we were discussing the seniors at mac's when all of a sudden they appeared. quite freaky.)  took this pic at the bus stop while waiting for my dad...... as it turned out, i just missed the last 190 home. got out of the MRT station just in time to see it go by =/ nice right? hahaha. got some other stuff too, a jar of stars from sabby, chocs from zhenzhen and notes from my sectionmates..... all in all, a night to remember. [this was written over 3 days. i think my writing style may have changed halfway =/] |
