New Year in Kuala Lumpur this year was a lot more painless than I expected. Arrived on Wednesday evening, had dinner and general slacking around, then went out on Thursday to KLCC. We hit all the right places - Kinokuniya, CD store, coffee at Starbucks and dinner at Mdm Kuan's... their Nasi Lemak deserves its reputation :) Best shopping trip ever haha.
Friday was a day out with aunt, uncle and cousins, ending with daidi in cousins' hotel room. It seems the older we get, the more easily we talk. Then came Saturday, with a surprise visit from said aunt and family while the parents were out (meeting the father's friends), followed by a trip with the parents to another (of the father's) friend's house. Renewed (or started?) a friendship, had a good dinner and a good rest. Morning on Sunday brought a nice porridge breakfast (my grandma rocks!) and the trip home. Which took 7 bloody hours, but nothing unexpected, and so it was bearable. Which brings me to now, with me updating my blog and with tons of homework undone. Did I mention I have a lab report and stuff to prepare for a meeting tomorrow? I'll better hop to it. Right after this nap. |
