I've moved to inaffinity.tumblr.com. It's much easier to share music and photos as well as thoughts on tumblr :)
Up bright and early to go to school, picked up my thumbdrive (thank goodness!), checked email, went for dental, had high tea at regent hotel, went to have specs made, camwhored at the optician's shop with my sis, then went home. This is what a day should be like. Knocked me entirely out of my bad mood haha. Midterms, do your worst!
Why complain? This is the life you've chosen for yourself. To always be there for others in their times of need, accepting no help of your own. If you keep everything close, never sharing anything of yourself, don't expect anyone to come to you when you're in need.
One of the defining differences between uni and JC is that uni is very flexible. It's freeform - you can usually choose what modules you'll like to take, schedule them yourself, and even after everything's fixed, you can not go for lectures and tutorials or go for other slots if you so choose. Similarly, you have to arrange to go for tutorials and lectures together and look for study buddies. There's no such thing as a fixed class anymore. Which is a good thing.
It was so easy to be socially lazy. Knowing that, whatever you do or don't do, you'll still be seeing the same people and hanging out during/after class. You want to have common experiences? Heck, you want to even have friends now? You gotta work for it. On the bright side, it does make you more sneaky in the way you arrange things and jio people out :) heh. There's so many things I should be thankful for in my life. Sometimes I look at others' lives and count my blessings that I've been born into this family, had this upbringing, and am living this life. So many others have it worse.
The night's lonely without you.
New Year in Kuala Lumpur this year was a lot more painless than I expected. Arrived on Wednesday evening, had dinner and general slacking around, then went out on Thursday to KLCC. We hit all the right places - Kinokuniya, CD store, coffee at Starbucks and dinner at Mdm Kuan's... their Nasi Lemak deserves its reputation :) Best shopping trip ever haha.
Friday was a day out with aunt, uncle and cousins, ending with daidi in cousins' hotel room. It seems the older we get, the more easily we talk. Then came Saturday, with a surprise visit from said aunt and family while the parents were out (meeting the father's friends), followed by a trip with the parents to another (of the father's) friend's house. Renewed (or started?) a friendship, had a good dinner and a good rest. Morning on Sunday brought a nice porridge breakfast (my grandma rocks!) and the trip home. Which took 7 bloody hours, but nothing unexpected, and so it was bearable. Which brings me to now, with me updating my blog and with tons of homework undone. Did I mention I have a lab report and stuff to prepare for a meeting tomorrow? I'll better hop to it. Right after this nap. Live life. Love. and other L-words.
